Dr. DeCarlo took it all the way. She attended veterinary school and started her career as an equine veterinarian, eventually moving into small animals. Like many equine vets, moving away from an equine practice doesn't mean losing touch with equine medicine because many of these vets have horses of their own. Such is the case with Dr. DeCarlo.

On her days off Dr. DeCarlo is usually riding. When people ask where she likes to ride normally, I think a safe answer is El Dorado County. Above and beyond that she has participated in several endurance rides but is currently between her veteran horse, Boomer, and her up-and-coming prospect Jake.
These last two pictures were taken in 2014 on her 22 year old Arabian gelding, Boomer, on the Wild West Ride and the Tahoe Rim Ride. Boomer never got the memo that he is 22 and he intends on carrying Dr. DeCarlo for as long as she'll let him.
