Reconsidering Dental month

For years the veterinary industry has promoted dental disease awareness during the month of February. This often included discounts on everything related to dentistry such as dental specific treats right on up to the dental cleaning and polishing procedure itself. Seemed like a great idea right? The intent was to educate clients and encourage them to treat their pets' dental disease. Tons of people would sign up for dentals each year and our February was usually packed. We saw A LOT of dental disease, both mild and serious and it got us thinking, is it really such a great idea to financially encourage clients to make their pets wait for treatment until the owner could benefit from a discount?

We decided it was not in the pets' best interest to wait until February.

Moving forward, if you bring your pet in for an exam for any reason and the veterinarian recommends a dental cleaning and polishing you will be eligible for a 10% discount on the dental procedure only (anesthesia, cleaning, polishing, dental films, extractions) if you schedule it to occur within 30 days of the recommendation.

This offer will be live throughout the year and no longer isolated to the month of February. As always, we recommend our clients brush their pets' teeth as frequently as possible and at the very least incorporate a dental diet and dental treats into their lives to reduce plaque and tartar buildup.
